Any 3 is a Gospel Conversation developed by Mike Shipman with the goal of helping believers move conversations to the Gospel more consitantly. Following the pattern of Jesus and his sharing of truth with the woman at the well in John 4, he developed a pattern designed to help share the Gospel with Anyone, Any time, Anywhere (hence the name Any 3).

In examining Jesus’s conversation with the woman at the well, we see several important things about sharing the Gospel. First, he was intentional–he purposefully went through Samaria purposefully placing himself where he could begin this conversation. Second, the conversation was informal and conversational rather than being scripted. Third, it was an interactive conversation rather than a one side presentation. Fourth, Jesus took the initiative, beginning the conversation and guiding it where he wanted it to go. Finally, Jesus introduced himself as the Messiah by moving the conversation towards this goal.

Shipman explains the pattern of the conversation can help us get to the Gospel as well. Jesus began by getting connected with simple social conversation. He then moved the conversation to spiritual topics. He then moved the conversation to point out her sin and her spiritual need. Finally, he revealed the truth of himself as the Messiah, the Good News of the Gospel. By following this pattern, we can also work to move our conversations from social conversations to spiritual conversations to opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel.

The following video wonderfully demonstrates the Any 3 Gospel conversation pattern and how to effective share the Gospel with a Muslim. This is the pattern I use almost every time I share with a Muslim, and I have found it very effective. As a bonus, the video also includes a few answers to the most common objection that Muslims offer. Check out the video below.
