
As we engage the Nations Next Door, our desire is to get to the Gospel. While it is wonderful to engage the lost with friendship and help where it is needed, the true need is a spiritual need. They need salvation shich can only come through Jesus, but how can they believe in him if they have never heard the Gospel (Romans 10:13-15). We are called to share the Gospel, not just in deeds but in words. So let’s explore sowing seeds of the Gospel among our friends from cultures who have different religions and have never heard the Good News.
As we begin sharing Biblical truth with our friends, it is important to understand their point of view, what they already believe, and how they respond to the Gospel we share. How do we effectively share the Gospel with someone that might see the world very differently than we do? How do we ensure that our language effectively communicates the truth of the Bible without being weighed down by confusing language that they don’t understand?


It is valuable to have several tools for sharing the Gospel with those we meet. While there are many ways to explain the Gospel in a simple way, there are several that are effective in communicating truth of Jesus and His sacrifice in a way that those from other cultures can understand and relate to. While some people may be ready to accept the truth of the Gospel when they first hear, many will need more time. Many have little to no context to understand the ideas of sin, our need for a sacrifice, who Jesus is, and what His death means to us.
